HOW DO WE SHOW BLACK+DECKER SURFACE CLEANERS KILL 99,9% OF ALL GERMS?
Everybody has heard the saying: the floor is so clean you can eat of it. A saying that is often used in reference to how well someone kept house. To promote the new Black+Decker SteaMitt and Steam-mop, we had to show these surface cleaners kill 99,9% of all bacteria and germs, making every surface cleaner than ever. Clean enough you can eat of it. Literally.
WE OPENED A RESTAURANT WHERE PEOPLE COULD EAT OFF THE FLOOR
Black+Decker presents Floor 99.9: the first restaurant where people could actually eat of the floor. To get the word out, we sent an invitation to customers and a select group of lifestyle journalists and bloggers… on a tile. Then Floor 99.9 opened its doors at the Mercado in Antwerp, a popular food hall that welcomes thousands of visitors every week.
Before opening, the old marble floor was thoroughly cleaned with the Steam-mop and repeated this between each course, giving visitors a live product demonstration. Journalists and bloggers dined together with passers-by. We filmed the event and shared it with our social media fans and the Belgian lifestyle press… and they loved it.
The campaign resulted in tons of coverage in all major lifestyle magazines and blogs, our social video was also picked up by the mainstream press.
